Advisory Council - Joe Delatorre

Joe De La Torre has been involved in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for 27 years. Starting in 1976 Joe was an correctional office and promoted to Sgt. in 1980. He later promoted to Lt. in 1985. A year later Joe promoted again to Special Agent and was assigned to the Special Service unit or SSU in San Diego. In 1994 he was again promoted to Senior Special Agent and placed in charge of the then newly opened Fresno SSU office.

Joe was a member of the California Gang Task Force (CGTF) from 1977 to 2007 and a Board member of the National Major Gang Task Force from 1990 to 2007. Joe has been conducting training on the Nuestra Famila, Mexican Mafia and Black Guerilla Family for approx. 20 years.
