Board of Directors - Michael Walker
Michael Walker has been in Law Enforcement for over 18 years.
Michael began his law enforcement career with the Watsonville Police Department, and worked there for 12 years. He was involved in gang investigation at WPD for approximately 7 years. He was also responsible for assisting in the establishment of policies regarding the purging of gang files and how gang members would be documented. This policy later became the county wide protocol for gang prosecution.
In 2002 Michael went to work for the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, Gang Suppression Enforcement Team. His team specialized in investigating prison gangs, biker gangs, and organized crime groups. They also spent a lot of time assisting other agencies with their gang and narcotic investigations.
Michael is currently employed by the Watsonville Police Department as their Gang Intelligence Analyst. He is responsible for gang member validations, tracking prison gang members and their activities both in and out of prison, and keeping the agency abreast of the latest trends. Another facet of his work is to assist the Gang Investigation Division with long term projects that involve Organized Crime groups in their jurisdiction and neighboring areas.
Michael has trained Law Enforcement Officers from many different states and has taught at many widely recognized training conferences and venues.
He is a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, the
International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association, the National Tactical Officers Association, the CDCR California Gang Task Force, and the California Narcotic Officers Association.
He is proud to be on the Board of Directors for Central Coast Gang Investigation, and looks forward to being able to provide quality training to law enforcement officers in the United States.
