Training Advisory Board - Toney Chaplin
Sergeant/Inspector Toney Chaplin is a 20 year law enforcement veteran. He is with the San Francisco Police Department's Gang Task Force unit as a team leader. Sergeant Chaplin has been assigned to the Gang Task Force since 1999. He has investigated thousands of gang related offenses ranging from narcotics sales to homicide. Sergeant Chaplin has testified as a gang expert in California State courts and as a gang language expert in Federal court. Sergeant Chaplin is a POST Certified instructor and teaches African American gang courses for the S.F.P.D. Basic Police Academy, City College of San Francisco, S.F.P.D. in-service training, and has been a guest instructor for the Northern California Gang Investigator's Association and the State Attorney General's conference on Organized Crime and Gangs.
