NEW CCGIA President - September 2008
The Executive Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointment of a new president for the Central Coast Gang Investigator Association, Sgt. Roy Morales.
Roy is a founding member of CCGIA, and has been a key member for the association as we have grown over the past seven years. He has been responsible for many of the "high profile" people that have attended our conference as both presenters and guests, he has mentored new members as well as new borad members, and is always there when things need to be done.
Roy's law enforcement career began at the Santa Cruz Police Department as a CSO. He was hired by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's office in 1993. His tenure has included working at the jail, courts, FTO, Detective (Robbery/Homicide), Gang Investigations, Problem Oriented Policing, Gang Enforcement Team, and FBI/CA DOJ Gang Task force member. He is currently a Sergeant in the Community Policing Division.
The duties of the president are to be a figurehead for the Association, represent our interests in public and private venues, network with other assocaiations and government agencies, and bring our goals and values to all things that CCGIA participates in. |
