One Day Training Course

The Central Coast Gang Investigators are proud to present the following ten hour training course:

"Gang Awareness Update"

This course is designed for Law Enforcement Officers, Correctional Facility and Jail Staff. The course provides the basic information needed for all patrol, first responders and correctional officers to determine is Gang Prosecution is appropriate, and how to investigate gang motivated crimes. If you are responding to, following up, or investigating crimes involving gang members, either in a custody facility or on the streets, this course is for you.

The course curriculum will include the following topics:

  • Basics of investigating gang crimes
  • Informant usage and interviews of gang involved parties
  • Documentation of gang indicators and evidence
  • Preparing police reports for Gang Prosecution
  • Testimony in Gang Motivated Cases

This class is ten hours long, and will run from 0800-1800 hrs. Each student will receive a certificate of completion as well as reference materials. This course is POST certified (1073-23215) and reimbursable POST plan IV. You will also receive college credit via West Valley Community College.

Registration cost: The course registration cost is $65 per student . The student will receive a certificate of completion and reference materials.

Location: San Jose, CA

Admittance to this course is restricted to law enforcement professionals including Police Officers , Sheriff Deputies, Parole Agents, Probation Officers, District Attorneys, Military Police, Correctional Officers and Federal law enforcement officials. Law enforcement identification is required NO exceptions! (We reserve the right to deny admission to anyone the Board of Directors deems necessary)
