One Day Training Course
The Central Coast Gang Investigators, in cooperation with Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department, are proud to present the following ten hour training course:
“Prison Gang Intelligence Update”
This course is designed for Law Enforcement Officers, Correctional Facility and Jail Staff. The course will provide the student a working understanding of the different prison gangs and disruptive groups, as well as current intelligence and trends for these groups.
The course curriculum will include the following topics:
- Identifying and Documenting Prison gang members and Activities
- What you need to know about Prison Gang members on Parole
- New Trends and Intelligence on Prison Gangs both in and out of custody
- How to Avoid False Identification of Prison Gang Members
- Investigative Resources Available from CA Dept. of Corrections
- Who's out on the street, and what it means to you
- Wanted persons and currently sought parolees
Course Information: Course date is 01-22-07 and is being held in San Jose, CA. This class is ten hours long, and will run from 0800-1800 hrs.
This course is POST certification pending. You will receive college credit via West Valley Community College.
Registration cost: The course registration cost is $65 per student.
This class is limited to the first 40 students who complete registration, and there will not be a duplicate class offered this year.
Location: San Jose, CA (exact location given with completed registration)
Admittance to this course is restricted to law enforcement professionals including Police Officers , Sheriff Deputies, Parole Agents, Probation Officers, District Attorneys, Military Police, Correctional Officers and Federal law enforcement officials. Law enforcement identification is required NO exceptions! (We reserve the right to deny admission to anyone the Board of Directors deems necessary)
